The Snowdon Cup is an honesty
event which can be done any time
throughout the season. It is up to
you to record your times honestly
and submit them to the race committee
at least three weeks before
the dinner and dance
The object
is to set off across the Bay, towards
the Porthmadoc fairway
buoy, and set your clock as soon
as the castle comes into sight.
Continue around the buoy and head
back, and stop the clock when you
loose sight of the castle.
Quite
simply the fastest time wins
(apparently if you record a time of
5 minutes we’ll know you’re cheating!!!)
So go on, give it a go, the
cup hasn't been awarded for some
time and can be done easily in a
days sailing (for clarification of
the rules see Keith Beddard)
